TravelMart 2006 - Destination Management Solutions by DMSSWT

DMS Software Technologies (DMSSWT) participated at the Sri Lanka Gateway to South Asia Travel Mart 2006 exhibition from 16th to 18th June 2006 at BMICH Sri Lanka. DMSSWT was the only Destination Management solution provider at the event which attracted significant attention of the local and international travel companies and was among the promising participants of the event. DMSSWT presented three IT solutions for the Travel and Leisure Sector.

DMS iTOS - Destination Management Solution for Inbound Tour Operators.

DMS iFIT - Web-based Self Service Travel portal.

DMS RESERVIT - Resort Hotel Room Reservation solution

These were the three key solutions that drew significant attention and created demand amongst the attendees.

Launch of DMS RESERVIT - maximizing room occupancies in travel sector

DMS Software Technologies (DMSSWT) launched their newest software product "DMS RESERVIT" at the Travel Mart 2006.
DMS RESERVIT is the latest addition to the range of solutions for the Travel and Leisure Sector from DMSSWT. The first two solutions being DMS iTOS and DMS iFIT respectively.

DMS RESERVIT primarily focuses at the small & medium hotels, resorts & villa owners to streamline their business by providing a comprehensive room reservation solution. By "Maximizing the room occupancy" the DMS RESERVIT provides an opportunity for the property owners to maximize profitability at an affordable price.

The solution got a jump start when it was deploying at the Ceylon Tourist Board.

Red Hat (NASDAQ: RHAT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions to the enterprise today announced DMS Software Technologies (DMSSWT) as one of the Advanced Business Partners in Sri Lanka.

Red Hat has also shown interest to sign up with DMS Training Centre as a Red Hat Certified Training Partner.

Award winning Software Solutions from DMS Software Technologies

DMS Software Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. won two awards at the BCS National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) 2005 in the categories of Tourism & Hospitality and eGovernment Services.

DMS Software Technologies’ DMSiTOS flagship Destination Management solution won the highest award for the Tourism & Hospitality category. In winning the Bronze award, DMSiTOS In-Bound Tour Operating System establishes it self as the clear market leader for Destination Management solution in Sri Lanka. DMSiTOS is used by Aitken Spence Travels, Ace Travels & Conventions, NKar Travels and Tours and United Holidays. The current version of DMSiTOS is a fully web enabled Tour Operating System which encompasses the main areas in destination management including the preparation of the Tour Program, Pre-Tour Costing, Contracting, Tour Grouping, On-Tour Costing, Invoicing, the Post-Tour Costing and the integration to Back Office Accounting System.

DMS Software Technologies’ also won the highest award for the e-Government Services category for the Business Information Portal (BIP) version 5.0 which was a Bronze award. Business Information Portal (www.bip.lk) is a complete web portal solution developed for the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber partners. The total project was funded by GTZ through the GTZ-Enterprise Information Project (GTZ-EIP). Business Information Portal (BIP) serves as an excellent Internet based source of information on business and business opportunities in Sri Lanka for potential investors in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Business Information Portal (BIP) was ranked among the top 5 IT projects in May 2005 by the World Federation of Chambers of Commerce by the Judges of the 2005 World Chambers Competition having evaluated the 52 entries they received from chambers around the world.

 Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (Sri Lanka)
 Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona (Spain)
 Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Commenting on the DMS Software Technologies’ success at this year’s competition, Mr. Palitha Rodrigo, General Manager of DMS Software Technologies said, “We are delighted at having won two awards at the prestigious BCS NBQSA 2005 competition.
